Magazine Reflection
The assignment that was given to be completed for my graphic design class was a Magazine that described your future. Another words the purpose of being on the front cover of a Magazine. Such as a celebrity, Doctor, Scientist and so on someone that represents you in the near future. As a class we was told to choose a topic and picture to design the front of the cover. First step I took was to choose a Topic title; picture and then I got some ideas from the Internet and other magazines I saw. Another step that I took was adding quotes and info for my magazine. We also used Adobe photo shop to cut, create and paste with our magazines.
My cover looks like glamorous Cover girl magazine. Except I chose a white background and inside its all about Fashion. My magazine description fits for teen girls who are looking for the latest fashion trends. My cover also explains hot gossip inside which makes you want to look inside and buy or read more. The colors were not all that exotic and attention wise but I chose navy-blue, black, pink and switched the fonts around. Last but not least my picture is a face shot but shows a little of my fashion side.
The main communication through my magazine was that I am all about dressing. I love the latest trends and someday if I was to be on a magazine cover it would definitely be for teen girls and fashion. I tried to communicate through my picture the most and quotes that I chose. Lets say if your magazine cover is not interesting or catchy no one is going to buy it.
Looking at my rubric I felt as though my work cam to a successful matter. I think if I had more experience with adobe photo shop it would of cam out a little better. For an example my photo it could have been better and I wanted a background but I ran out of time. So basically the time and Adobe Photo shop was mainly the problem. But my work came to a success so I am fine with what I have.
